Georgia’s approach

Georgia (also known as Sim) is a psychotherapist who works with individuals and groups providing a collaborative, relational approach to support clients. She aims to provide safe and tailored conditions for her clients, regarding each individual experience with respect, curiosity and an open mind.

With a background in creative arts and activism as well as psychotherapy, Georgia is passionate about the potential that exists and can be generated in relationships and groups. She has witnessed and experienced the transformation that can occur through engaging our innate relational capacities and instincts to grow and heal. Central to Georgia's practice is a personal mission to support others in fostering self understanding, agency, trust and compassion for oneself and the spectrum of the human experience, with long lasting and meaningful change.

Her therapeutic approach is systemic and trauma informed, drawing upon integrating therapies which may include  attachment theory, metacognitive therapy, sensorimotor and somatic therapies, developmental theory, existential therapy, psychodynamic therapy and depth psychology. Georgia is trained in Integrative Attachment Therapy utilising the Three Pillar Model for attachment repair and Interpersonal Group Therapy, continuing to evolve her psychotherapeutic practice with ongoing professional supervision and training.
